About

As both the mom of a son with Type 1 Diabetes and the daughter of a Type 1 diabetic, I’m navigating a unique journey grounded in love, resilience, and constant care. The vigilance T1D demands has deeply influenced my life, not just in caring for my son, but also through the experiences I’ve shared with my mother.
Managing my son's health, helping him thrive, and learning how to balance this path as both a parent and a daughter have become my world. I know firsthand how challenging, exhausting, and sometimes overwhelming this journey can be, but I also know the incredible strength we T1D moms find in supporting one another.
Through this blog, I hope to share my story, the lessons I’ve learned, and offer support to other moms navigating life with Type 1 Diabetes. Together, we can find strength, resilience, and community.

Seeking Beyond Medical Advice: My Journey for Deeper Understanding"

Raising a child with Type 1 Diabetes is full of constant challenges. Your life quickly revolves around blood sugar numbers, carb counting, insulin doses, supplies, and the constant changes that seem to never end.
When we first started this journey, I found myself endlessly searching the internet for advice from another mom walking this same path. But everything I found felt cold and clinical. It was all written from a medical perspective, focused on the symptoms and diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes, but none of it touched on what I was truly feeling.
I didn’t just need a list of symptoms or treatment plans—I needed real-life advice from another mom who had been through this, who could share what had worked for her, what didn’t, and how she managed to live life while caring for a child with T1D. I wanted someone who understood the emotional toll, the sleepless nights, and the constant worry, someone who could show me how to actually live in this new reality. But I couldn't find it.
So I spent the next year testing, tweaking, and documenting everything—searching for solutions that worked for my son, not just for adults with Type 1 Diabetes. And in doing so, I built the resource I wish I had found when we were first diagnosed, hoping to help just one more mom who feels lost in this overwhelming journey.
I never imagined that this project would grow into what it is today, but I’m honored that so many have trusted me to guide them through this emotional and difficult process. The friendships and connections I’ve made along the way have been invaluable.
Parenting a child with Type 1 Diabetes is incredibly tough, but I want to help you move from feeling devastated and overwhelmed to confident and in control.
